The Australasian Nutrition Advisory Council (ANAC) had a close involvement in the scientific program planning of the inaugural Sanitarium International Nutrition Symposium, which was held in March 2000 in Sydney, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand.

The ANAC group has been working closely with the Symposium Organising Committee in the development of the scientific program for the 2nd Sanitarium International Nutrition Symposium which is being planned for April 2002.

2nd Sanitarium International Nutrition Symposium
"Nutrition for Stages of Life: The Evidence Base"
Melbourne, Australia, 18-19 April 2002. The scientific program for the symposium was developed in consultation with the Australasian Nutrition Advisory Council.

Papers from the recent symposium are to be released in a special supplement to the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition (APJCN) in late 2002.
